Proposal to Mr. Simmons

Dear Mr. Simmons,

As crazy as it sounds, even though I am sure you are probably aware of it, tuition costs have risen over the years. Even crazier, is the fact that despite the many scholarships that exist, they are not readily available to mature students, who are often overlooked in favour of the younger students. More interesting is the idea of student loans, which as much as I would like to put myself into more debt, I do not think it such a good idea due to the ever increasing costs of tuition. In light of these things, I decided that a proposal to a gentleman like you might be worth a shot.

You, Sir, are an entrepreneur. A man who was instrumental in bringing hip hop to the masses, and taking it beyond what many term, the hood. In addition to doing this, you run a number of successful business ventures, one of which is Global Grind, an internet blog that shines a light on celebrities, community causes, politics, and issues that affect the black community. As an aspiring entrepreneur, it is my dream to one day own and operate an internet venture that will be as successful as yours. My proposal is one that allows me to learn at your feet in hopes that you might help in sponsoring my education, especially as I enter my final year at the University of Toronto, in Canada. I am currently a Communications student, hoping to get into the advertising and public relations industry, but also harbouring dreams and ideas of running internet ventures that will change lives and make them better, especially among the young black community.

Yes, it is a far-fetched dream to ask you to sponsor my final year of university, but a dream can always become a reality. In exchange, I am willing to fly down to New York to learn from you, and intern with any one of your companies, even if it means getting paid little or nothing. I do hope you consider this proposal, as I really need to graduate from school this year.

I would appreciate it if you kindly consider my proposal. Kindly find attached my contact information below, if you need any more information in regards to the proposal. Thank you Sir, and have a good day.

Sincerely,
